Lash Extensions vs Lash Lift in La Zenia: Which to Choose

Gulnaz Akhmadullina · Updated · 5 min read

If you want longer, fuller lashes with a “mascara on” look, go for lash extensions: classic from €45 and 3D from €50, lasting about 3–4 weeks with infills every 2–3 weeks. If you’d rather lift your own lashes with minimal upkeep, a lash lift (from €45) lasts around 6–8 weeks. Caramiel Beauty House in La Zenia offers both.

It’s one of the questions we hear most in the salon: “Should I get extensions or a lift?” Both open up your eyes, but they work in very different ways and suit different lifestyles. Let’s go through it properly so you can make the right call.

What each treatment involves

Lash extensions

Fine fibres are bonded to your natural lashes, one by one. There are two main styles:

  • Classic: one extension on each natural lash. Longer and more defined, but still fairly natural.
  • 3D volume: tiny fans of several ultra-fine extensions on each natural lash. More density and a more glamorous finish.

The appointment takes around 1 hour 30 minutes.

Lash lift

A lash lift doesn’t add anything. It curls and lifts your own lashes from the root so they look longer and more open. It’s ideal if your lashes have decent length but grow straight or point downwards. The lash lift + botox option adds a conditioning treatment to nourish the lashes.

How long they last: the big difference

Your natural lashes shed and regrow all the time, and the extensions go with them. So although a full set typically lasts about 3–4 weeks, most people come back for infills every 2–3 weeks to keep them looking neat. They also need a bit of care: no rubbing your eyes, and following the aftercare advice we give you.

A lash lift, on the other hand, normally lasts 6–8 weeks with nothing to do in between. Wake up, brush your lashes through if you like, and you’re done. As your natural lashes renew, the curl gradually fades and you can simply book again.

What each option costs over time

For the first appointment the price is similar: from €45 for both classic extensions and a lash lift. The difference is the upkeep. With extensions you add regular infills on top of the first set; with a lift you just come back once the curl has dropped, roughly every six to eight weeks.

You can check infill prices and everything else on our prices page.

Which one is right for you?

Choose lash extensions if…

  • Your lashes are short or sparse and you want more volume.
  • You love the look of mascara without wearing any.
  • You have a wedding, a holiday or a special occasion coming up.
  • You don’t mind booking in every few weeks.

Choose a lash lift if…

  • Your lashes have good length but are straight.
  • You want a natural result that looks like you, only brighter.
  • You do a lot of sport, swim often or don’t want to think about special aftercare.
  • You prefer a low-maintenance treatment.

Still not sure? That’s completely fine. At a free 15-minute consultation, Gulnaz, who has 18 years of experience with lashes and brows, will look at your natural lashes and recommend what suits you best. And if you want to finish the look, brow lamination (from €40) pairs nicely with either.
